Dear Parents and Students:
We are preparing for another school year and we are looking forward to seeing
each of you again.
We will be holding an Open House for all students and parents on Monday, August
30 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Student may meet their teacher, bring their school items,
and locate their desk and locker. SCHOOL PICTURES will be taken during this
time.
Parents are encouraged to attend during the Open House to complete paperwork
necessary for the school year, sign up for parent-teacher conferences and pay
student fees.
Staffing and room assignment changes have been made for the coming year. Mrs.
Kristin Mutschler will be teaching Second Grade. The Second Grade classroom
remains in the same location. Mrs. Shirley Hayes will be teaching Fourth Grade in
the old Fifth Grade room by the Music room. Mrs. Huppert’s Fifth Grade class will
be in the old Fourth Grade room.
We have installed two Smartboards this summer. Mrs. Levendoski has a
Smartboard in the Third Grade room and Mrs. Laust has a Smartboard in the
music room. We received a memorial donation for one Smartboard and the
Diocese of La Crosse partially funded the second Smartboard. We have set up a
fund to collect donations for two additional Smartboards.
All parents are required by the Diocese of La Crosse to annually watch the Safe
Environment video and review the red and green booklets regarding the
procedure concerning child sexual abuse and sexual misconduct procedures.
These documents can be found on the school website. Parents must acknowledge
that they have completed this requirement by each parent signing a sheet. Please
turn in a sheet for each parent by September 10.
All persons interested in volunteering at our school must complete or up-date a
Confidential Volunteer form, complete the Safe Environment training and have a
background check completed PRIOR to any volunteer service.
Father Rajan expects all students to know the prayers as listed for each grade in
the handbook. A list of prayers that students should have memorized is attached.
Please help your students to learn these prayers by saying them every day.
School classes begin on Wednesday, September 1 at 8:05 AM. Parents are
welcome to accompany their child to the classroom, greet the teacher and get the
child settled between 7:45 and 8:05 AM. We will be attending Mass at 8:15 that
morning. Students will sit with their class. Parents are encouraged to attend as
well. School will dismiss at 3:10 PM and buses will leave at 3:15 PM. Mrs. Ironside
and I will meet the buses at the high school during the first week to help students
find the correct bus to be transported home.
Just a reminder, if your student is leaving school in any different manner than
normal bus or parent pick up, such as: being picked up by someone else, riding a
different bus, being picked up early, walking/riding bike, please send a note, or e-
mail the school office regarding this change. We want to ensure the safety of our
students at all times.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me, 715-262-
